Over-the-Counter (OTC) benefit details
This benefit provides you with a quarterly allowance to order eligible over-the-counter medications and health-related products. OTC medications are trusted as a first line of defense in treating minor ailments, help reduce doctor visits and save you money.
This OTC benefit is available for the following Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Medicare plans:
- Medicare Advantage
- Group Medicare Advantage
- Platinum Blue (Cost)
- Group Platinum Blue (Cost)
There is no additional premium for those who have the OTC benefit included in their health plan. These added OTC benefits will vary by plan, so be sure to review your Evidence of Coverage (EOC) for benefit coverage and important details.
