What is SilverSneakers?
SilverSneakers® is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+ that is included with qualifying Medicare health plans (Blue Cross Medicare Advantage, Platinum BlueSM, Senior GoldSM and other Medicare Supplement and SecureBlueSM plans).
It provides access to thousands of fitness locations1 across the county. From weights and machines to group classes2 led by trained instructors, there are options for all fitness levels.
In addition, SilverSneakers provides mental enrichment opportunities where members can learn new skills and continue lifelong learning.
These programs help our members improve their health, stay independent, and continue to do the things they like to do.
Which gyms participate in SilverSneakers?
There are thousands of participating locations1 around the United States, plus classes offered at additional public spaces, like parks and community centers. SilverSneakers members have access to all of these and are not limited to visiting one alone.
Amenities and classes vary by location.1 Your local gym, senior center or other location may have a pool, indoor walking track, free weights, cardio equipment, pickleball courts and more.

How to get started
If you're a current Blue Cross member and unsure whether you're eligible for SilverSneakers, please check your plan details or call the customer service number on the back of your ID card.
1. Enroll with your SilverSneakers ID
Get your SilverSneakers ID number and enroll today. You’ll get a basic fitness membership at participating locations in the SilverSneakers network at no cost to you.
