What is a Cost plan?
Medicare Cost plans provide additional coverage to help pay for expenses Original Medicare doesn’t cover. These plans are available in 21 counties in Minnesota. Members can enroll in Platinum Blue if they:
- Have Medicare Part A and Part B, or Part B only
- Live in the plan availability area
Plan highlights
Group Platinum Blue offers three levels of coverage so you can choose the coverage to best fit your retirees’ needs. All plan options include:
- Coverage for various routine services and screenings
- Travel up to nine consecutive months per calendar year in the U.S.
- Access to a large network of doctors, hospitals and clinics
- Membership in the SilverSneakers® fitness program
- Health and wellbeing resources like nurse line and quitting tobacco support
- Hearing aid (up to 2 aids per year)
$499 copay per aid (Advanced Aid)
$799 copay per aid (Premium Aid) - Eyewear up to $200 allowance for contacts, lenses and frames
- Quarterly allowance1 to purchase over-the-counter (OTC) medications and health-related items
