MedsYourWay Program — Retail

With MedsYourWay® you’ll automatically get the lowest price available on prescription drugs. MedsYourWay® compares drug card discount prices and your health plan pharmacy benefit to automatically deliver the lowest price to you. No discount card is required, simply show your member ID card at your preferred in-network pharmacy. Any costs you pay for your covered prescriptions (copays, deductible, and/or coinsurance) applies to your out-of-pocket maximum. If you prefer a more convenient option, you can use the MedsYourWay® program through Amazon Home Delivery.  

MedsYourWay Program — Home Delivery

Powered by Amazon Pharmacy, MedsYourWay® Home Delivery is the exclusive mail order vendor. Members who were previously receiving medications via Express Scripts were notified by letter with more detailed information on the transition to the MedsYourWay® Home Delivery program. To begin using Amazon Pharmacy, you can register at amazon.com/bluecrossmnmyw or by calling 1-855-206-2430.

FlexAccess Program

If you are enrolled in a PPO, Pre65 $500, or Pre65 $1,000 plan for 2024 and taking a specialty medication you may be eligible to participate in the FlexAccess Program. The FlexAccess Program is designed to help both you and the plan save money on certain specialty medications by obtaining copay assistance from drug manufacturers when available. If you are taking a qualifying specialty drug, a FlexAccess representative will contact you to assist in registering for the program. Once enrolled in the program, your cost share for eligible specialty medications will be set to the amount determined by the manufacturer-funded copay assistance program, which could range from $0-$35 copay per prescription. The amount you pay out-of-pocket for your specialty prescription will be the amount applied to your deductible and/or out-of-pocket maximum’s.

Specialty Coupon Accumulator Adjustment Program

If you are enrolled in the HSA or Pre65 $3,000 plan for 2024 and taking a specialty medication, you will be enrolled in the Specialty Coupon Accumulator Adjustment Program. The amount you pay out-of-pocket for your specialty prescription will be the amount applied to your deductible and/or out-of-pocket maximums. The Specialty Coupon Accumulator Adjustment Program is not compatible with the automatic crossover feature supported by Further. You can access your spending account dollars by submitting claims through the Further member portal at hellofurther.com, or the Further mobile app.

Overseas Travel Coverage

As a BCBS member, if you are traveling abroad, you have access to doctors, hospitals, support tools, and resources around the world through the Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core Program.

COVID-19

Due to the Public Health Emergency (PHE) that expired effective May 12, 2023, all COVID-19 treatment and testing will be covered according to your standard plan benefits and cost-sharing applies. COVID-19 vaccines and administration will fall under Preventive Care benefits and covered at 100% in-network.

PPO (High Value Network Plan)

The PPO (High Value Network Plan) gives you statewide access to quality care. The PPO (High Value Network Plan) has in-network and out-of-network levels of benefits. When you seek care from a provider who is in the High Value Network, you receive in-network benefits. If you choose to use a provider who is not in the High Value Network (in Minnesota and bordering counties) and BlueCard PPO (nationally) you will still have coverage, but at the lower out-of-network level of benefits.

What are the different types of spending and saving accounts?

An HSA is a health savings account that works with a high deductible health plan. You can use the funds to help pay for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses your health insurance doesn't cover.

An FSA is a flexible spending account that lets you set aside money tax-free to pay for eligible expenses, like day care and healthcare products and services your health plan doesn't cover (such as vision and dental care).
