Support during pregnancy
Maternity Management prenatal support gives Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota members in-depth educational tools and more.
You'll start with an assessment, then get one-on-one support from a Maternity Nurse Manager who:
- Answers questions and offers advice about pregnancy and staying healthy
- Connects you to online tools (articles, videos and more) about pregnancy and infant care
- Helps you prepare for the arrival of the new baby
- Offers personalized support
- Provides tips on how to stay happy and healthy after the baby is born
Connecting with high-risk members
Any pregnant member can participate in maternity management. If you're a Blue Cross member who may have a high-risk pregnancy, you'll receive an outreach call from a maternity case manager. This helps ensure you'll get the care you need.
If you don't have a high-risk pregnancy but feel you would benefit from our services, you can join, too.
Considering breast feeding?
Personal electric and manual breast pumps are covered by your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota health plan. Additional breast pump supplies, including bottles, tubes, shields and freezer packs, are not covered.
If you need help finding a breast pump, log in and search for “durable medical equipment,” or call the customer service number on the back of your member ID card.
