Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a Blue Cross member to use this app?
Yes, this app is designed for members only and features all their personal health plan information.
Most Blue Cross Medicare members and those who are not eligible for Blue Care Advisor (12-17 years old) can use this app. Minnesota Health Care plan members (Blue Advantage, MinnesotaCare, Minnesota Senior Care Plus or SecureBlue) should log in to their mobile-friendly member website instead.
Do I have to register on the app if I am already registered on Blue Cross’s member website?
No, you do not need to register again in the app if you already have an account on our member website. You should use that same login information to log into the app.
Can I see my entire family’s health information on the app?
Yes, you can see some info about each family member on your plan if you are the primary account holder. You will see spending accumulations for your account and the entire family’s, but the claim details for anyone over 12 years of age (who can have their own account) will be locked for their privacy.
How often is the app updated?
The data that drives this app is updated many times a day. Deductible and out-of-pocket max graphs are only updated when a claim has been completely processed, though. (Note: Some claims can be re-processed, and then your accumulation graphs could change.)
How do I check the status of a claim?
You can find all your Blue Cross claims via the Claims section, accessed via the main app navigation. Each claim will have a status listed, telling you where it is in the process. Click on that item for more details. If you have any questions about status or coverage, please call the Blue Cross customer service number found on the back of your ID card.
Why don't I see the Medical Cost Estimator in my app?
This tool is currently available for those whose health plan involves the Aware network. Future releases will make it available for other networks.
Why don't I see the Drug Cost Estimator in my app?
Only those members whose health plan has a pharmacy benefit provided by Prime Therapeutics will have access to the Drug Cost Estimator.
Which health spending accounts are shown in the app?
If you have an HSA, HRA, FSA, DCAP and/or VEBA account with Further you will see the total amount available and any recent transactions. You will be directed to hellofurther.com to manage the account.
