New fitness courses to open up around the state

At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, we are committed to creating opportunities for everyone to live their healthiest lives. That’s why we partnered with the National Fitness Campaign to open two new outdoor fitness courts. One is located at the Art Ohlgren Recreational Area in Moose Lake Township. The other is on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus.

These fitness courts are free and open to all. They provide space and equipment for many exercises, including a simple seven-minute, seven-movement workout. Whether you want a quick routine or a place to stretch, build strength and work on balance, the courts are a great resource for Minnesotans of all abilities.

The National Fitness Campaign and Blue Cross have a shared goal of opening ten free fitness courts across the state. The first opened in Willmar in 2023, followed by a second court in Shakopee in 2024.

For many, it’s hard to find places to work out and stay fit. This project is designed to remove those barriers and make it easier for people in Minnesota to lead healthy and active lives. Go to nationalfitnesscampaign.com/minnesota to find out more.
