Pamela J. Moret

Pamela (Pam) J. Moret serves as the chair of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Board of Trustees. Prior to her retirement, Moret was the president and CEO of brightpeak financial, an independent division of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and senior vice president of strategic development for Thrivent Financial. Thrivent Financial created an innovative financial services offering for young Christian families, helping them build economical resilience so they can be confident in their futures. Prior to this role, Moret had primary responsibility for new business development, including the ideation, testing, launch and expansion of new businesses. Moret joined Thrivent Financial as senior vice president of marketing and products in 2002.

Before joining the organization, Moret was CEO of IDS Life Insurance Company, senior vice president of products and general manager for all the retail financial products for American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). Moret held a variety of positions at American Express in products, marketing, public affairs and legal. Prior to American Express, Moret was an attorney for a Minneapolis law firm.

A native of Fargo, ND, Moret graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, in 1975, receiving a B.A. in political science. In 1979, she received a J.D. with honors from George Washington University, Washington, D.C., earning the Order of the Coif and Law Review.

Moret currently serves on the boards of Brotherhood Mutual, Bush Foundation and Luther Seminary. She is also a member of and on the board of the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable. In 1999, Moret was also inducted into the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers.
