Certified Peer Support Specialists have personally experienced struggles with mental health, psychological trauma or substance use and are trained to support other people facing similar challenges. They provide personal insights, encouragement and connections to tools and resources that support recovery. Their services are offered through primary care clinics, mental health clinics and community-based agencies.
