Eating Right Apple

Start with the basics

You could get lost for hours in the ever-expanding library of healthy eating advice found on the Web. Instead of getting distracted by the latest fad or conflicting report on what's actually healthy, keep these simple tips in mind:

  • If it grows in the ground, it's better for you.
  • If it's packaged in plastic, it's likely processed and less healthy.
  • Shopping the outside of the grocery store is your healthiest route.
  • Fruit-flavored foods don't necessarily include real fruit.
  • Water is your healthiest beverage. And your body needs a lot of it!
  • Your body needs fuel to lose weight; deprivation isn't healthy.
  • A lot of exercise will not make up for a bad diet.

Armed with knowledge and ideas, you can start changing your eating habits immediately and start living healthier.
