Vision plan choices

Did you know that a preventive eye exam can help detect such chronic conditions as diabetes and high blood pressure? It's true.

You can choose a plan with or without coverage for an eye exam. If your medical plan covers a preventive eye exam for adults, you may want to choose a vision plan without an exam. If it doesn't, you can choose a vision plan with coverage for an exam.

Some people want to access the Davis Vision network for their eye exam even though they already have eye exam coverage through their medical plan. The choice is yours.

About enrolling

You can enroll in a vision plan any time. It's quick and easy. Coverage generally starts the first of the month after we receive your application and payment.

You do not have to have Blue Cross health insurance to enroll into one of the Blue Cross Vision plans. Vision plans can be purchased by any individual age 18 or over.
