Forbes names Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as a Best Employer
Eagan, MN, July 9, 2019 — Forbes Magazine recently named Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) as one of America’s Best Employers for 2019. Blue Cross joins other notable Minnesota-based organizations that were independently identified as having “what it takes to compete for top talent,” including 3M, Medtronic, Mayo Clinic, General Mills and Best Buy.
“We are excited to be recognized for our emphasis on workplace culture and satisfaction among our associates,” said Dr. Craig Samitt, president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota. “We continue to enhance our culture with the goal of being a truly world-class employer of choice. I want everyone to feel like they can bring their true and whole selves to work and achieve their full potential. Our collaborative and supportive environment in Minnesota attracts some of the most highly talented and high-performing individuals I have seen in my career. My hope and belief are that Blue Cross will remain a top tier company for years to come.”
Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify organizations liked best by employees in its first-ever ranking of America’s best employers by state. The ranking is divided into 51 lists: one for each of the 50 states, plus the District of Columbia.
