(Eagan, Minnesota) January 31, 2017 -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) has reached separate contract agreements with all of the 20 Integrity Health Network-affiliated clinics that that were scheduled to exit the Blue Cross provider network on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
“We are very pleased to have new agreements and direct relationships with each clinic, which gives us greater opportunities to address their unique needs,” said Eric Hoag, vice president of provider relations at Blue Cross. “I want to thank the leadership of Integrity Health Network for their assistance in coordinating the transition to this new model. Ultimately, we all share the same goals of ensuring that patients receive the highest quality health care at the greatest value.”
“Our clinics are pleased to reach an agreement so that Blue Cross patients can continue to see our providers at the in-network benefit levels of their plan without any changes,” said Jeffrey Tucker, president and chief executive officer of Integrity Health Network. “Additionally, Integrity Health looks forward to working with Blue Cross on a new network-level agreement to manage costs and improve care for those patients enrolled in Minnesota Health Care Programs.”
All 20 clinics with separate Blue Cross contracts will continue their involvement in the Integrity Health Network through integrated administrative support and ongoing participation in quality improvement and community focused initiatives.
