Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Congratulates Pamela J. Moret, 2017 Outstanding Directors award winner

Eagan, Minn. (August 25, 2017) — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross)
is pleased to announce that Pamela (Pam) J. Moret has been named a 2017 Twin Cities Business Outstanding Directors award winner for her service on the Blue Cross Board of Directors. This year’s awards, in association with the National Association of Corporate Directors, recognizes five corporate directors in Minnesota for their exceptional service and sense of leadership to companies as outside board members. The honorees will be recognized in the October edition of Twin Cities Business and at an awards dinner on October 18.

“Pam is an accomplished business leader whose experience has added great value to the organization throughout her four years on our board,” said Michael Guyette, president and chief executive officer at Blue Cross. “We have benefited from her leadership, counsel and judgment. We congratulate Pam on this deserving recognition.”

Prior to her retirement, Moret was the president and CEO of brightpeak financial, an independent division of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and senior vice president of strategic development for Thrivent Financial. She also held roles as CEO of IDS Life Insurance Company, and senior vice president of products and general manager of all retail products at American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise). Moret started her career as an attorney for a Minneapolis law firm.

Moret graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She also obtained a law degree with honors from George Washington University, earning the Order of the Coif and Law Review.
