Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) works with United Concordia Dental (UCD) to manage contracting and credentialing for medical/dental services performed by a DDS or DMD (as of January 1, 2017).
Any dental provider (DDS and DMD) that is contracted with United Concordia Dental will be added to the Blue Cross network to bill medical dental claims. Blue Cross does not contract directly with dentists.
For Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) members:
Delta Dental's Civic Smiles Network manages contracting and credentialing for medical/dental services provided to MHCP members. You need to be contracted and credentialed with Delta Dental to bill for MHCP members.
